PEAK HOUSE
A study in mass, light and spatial restraint.
Conceived as a singular form, Peak House is defined by its custom brick envelope, a tectonic expression of permanence and privacy. The material is not applied but integral. Each brick is shaped and positioned to create a façade that is both abstract and deeply responsive to context.

The building’s geometry is driven by site: the canopy of a mature Elm, solar orientation and the proximity of neighbouring dwellings. In response, the home presents as a sculptural volume, quietly monumental yet finely tuned to its environment.

Glazing is minimal and strategic. At ground level, transparency is limited to entry and rear living zones. The first floor remains opaque, housing bedrooms and private programs behind a composed monolithic shell. A curved stair punctuates the interior, drawing light into the core and offering spatial release.
Below ground, the basement is embedded beneath the front garden, its spaces opening onto a planted lightwell softened by foliage and filtered light.
While a significant investment, the custom brickwork underpins the architecture’s longevity. It brings thermal mass, durability and a tactile richness that evolves over time.
Peak House is not expressive. It is considered. A spatial framework for family life, robust, adaptable and quietly ambitious.
Window apertures are screened with V-profile bricks, continuing the visual language of the facade across openings. This detail mediates light and outlook allowing moments of transparency without breaking the mass. Internally these screens offer texture, rhythm and privacy.
